This was the second major project I decided to take on with no customer in mind (there would be more...). From design to completion it took about two years, and made its debut at the 2005 Anaheim NAMM Show as Santa Cruz Guitar Company's 10,000th guitar, as well as their 30th anniversary instrument. I didn't mind the extra cachet, although I hired them to build it to my specifications, using my best Brazilian rosewood. It far exceeded my expectations.
